Boy charged with attempted murder

Daniel was stabbed in the abdomen
A teenage boy has been charged with the attempted murder of 14-year-old Daniel Lomas in Greater Manchester.

Daniel was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital on the evening of Sunday, 29 June after being stabbed in his abdomen.

He had been walking along Goose Green, Altrincham, when the attack took place.

Daniel, of Sale, is still in a stable condition in hospital.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear before Trafford magistrates on Friday.

He is from the Cheadle Heath area of Stockport.
