Girl missing for six days

Police in Greater Manchester are growing increasingly concerned for a girl who has been missing for nearly a week.

Eleanor May Kirk, 12, was last seen at her Bolton home last Saturday night.

Her mother has told police Eleanor disappeared from their house in the Shepherd Cross Street area of the town, at about 2000 BST.

Greater Manchester Police said Eleanor might have headed for Manchester city centre.

She is white, of slim build, with blue eyes and wavy shoulder-length mousey brown hair. She speaks with a northern accent.

Eleanor was last seen wearing a white vest top, black trousers, black knee length boots and possibly a pink jumper.

Anyone who has information about where Eleanor is they should contact Astley Bridge police station.
