Two charged over crossbow murder

A man and a woman have appeared in court accused of killing a man with a crossbow.

Roger Austin and Deborah Dunne are accused of shooting Charlie Cawley during an incident in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, on Tuesday.

Mr Cawley, 23, died at Rochdale Infirmary after the incident in Balderstone Road, Kirkholt.

Mr Austin, 46, and 39-year-old Ms Dunne, both from Balderstone Road, Rochdale, are accused of his murder.

They were charged by police on Friday morning and later appeared before Rochdale Magistrates' Court.

The pair were both remanded on bail to reappear in court on 13 June.
