Detectives have begun a murder investigation after a 23-year-old man was killed at a house in Greater Manchester.
Officers were called to the house on Balderstone Road, in Kirkholt, Rochdale at about 2150 BST on Tuesday.
They were responding to reports that a man had been shot, and later recovered a crossbow.
A 48-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Paramedics took the victim, Charles Cawley, from Kirkholt, to Rochdale Infirmary, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are urging anyone with information about the murder to contact them.
