Woman held over attempted murder

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was found seriously injured at a house in North Yorkshire.

The 39-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being discovered at his home in Harrogate in the early hours of Saturday.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, a North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.

Police said an investigation into the circumstances had started.
