Relatives of a man who went missing in London are to fly over from New Zealand to help search for him.

John Sleigh, 36, who had been living in Battersea, south-west London, disappeared after a night out in Holborn, central London, on 9 May.

He was caught on CCTV walking towards Oxford Street. The Met Police said he had not used his bank accounts since.

His brother David Sleigh and sister Catherine Booth are due to fly from Auckland later on Sunday.

'Very worried'

Mr Sleigh, who works as an engineering draughtsman, was last seen at The Guanabara Bar in Parker Street, Holborn.

CCTV footage then shows him walking towards Oxford Street.

His family from Canterbury, are said to be "very worried" about his welfare.

Friends have been handing out leaflets as part of the search and more than 500 people have joined a group on Facebook to leave messages of support and post pictures of Mr Sleigh.

He is described as white, about 6ft 2ins and with an athletic build. He has short, thinning fair hair and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured zip-up jumper.
