Two men have been arrested over the murder of a 21-year-old man who was shot in a north London street.

Joseph Hylton, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene in Mount Pleasant Road, Tottenham, last Friday.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said a 16-year-old and a 27-year-old were being questioned at two separate police stations in east London.

Detectives said they would return to the scene of the crime on 14 May between 1030 BST and 1230 BST to appeal for witnesses and information.
