Police have stepped up patrols in the Camden area of London while they investigate a series of robberies in flats in the area. The robberies, all carried out in the evening between 14 March and Thursday, are thought to have been committed by the same man. In each case, he approached as people were entering residential blocks and threatened them with a gun. He then demanded property and fled on foot, Metropolitan Police said. His victims were traumatised, though not physically injured. Ch Insp Louis Smith said: "There will be additional patrols in the area and our advice is to remain vigilant and call police to report anything suspicious. "Residents with any concerns can call their local safer neighbourhoods team." The man is described as black, in his 20s or 30s , about 5ft 7ins to 6ft 3ins tall, of medium build and wearing dark, casual clothing.
