Mr Francis died from a stab wound to the neck

Police have charged a 23-year-old with murder after a man was stabbed to death outside a fish and chip shop.

Kelvin Francis, 26, was stabbed in the neck in Cleveland Park Avenue, Walthamstow, at about 2225 GMT on 7 March. He died at the scene.

David Kazim, 23, of no fixed abode, was due to appear at Stratford Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with murder.

Lisa Donegan, of Wood Green, north London, was also due to appear charged with perverting the course of justice.

Det Ch Insp Phil Rickells, of the Metropolitan Police, said: "We are still urging the public to come forward and help us piece together the events that led to Kelvin's death.

"The incident occurred close to a main public thoroughfare that was busy with pedestrian traffic that evening.

"I'm asking those who were in the area last Sunday evening to cast their minds back."

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the neck.
