Man charged over car park death

A 25-year-old has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man who was attacked in a supermarket car park in north-west London.

Saqib Rafiq, of Carlton Avenue East, Wembley, is accused of assaulting Manji Hirani outside Morrisons on Honeypot Lane, Queensbury, on 9 December.

Mr Hirani, 48, suffered head injuries and was critically ill in hospital for 12 days. He died on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old boy has been bailed by police on suspicion of assault.
