Three charged with murder of man

Three men have been charged with the murder of a 25-year-old Lithuanian national in east London.

Police were alerted after the body of Paulius Riepsa, of no fixed abode, was found at an address in Carnarvon Road, Stratford on 31 October.

A post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as head injuries.

Ermantis Silingis, 31, Remingijus Jakubauskas, 31 and Aivaras Savickas, 19, all of no fixed abode, will appear at the Old Bailey on 15 February 2010.

Mr Silingis, who appeared at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, has also been charged with the rape of a 24 year-old woman in Stratford on 29 October.

All three men have been remanded in custody.
