A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two men were stabbed to death in a flat in south-east London.

The victims, both aged about 60, had been found by officers in the property in Summersell House, Benton's Rise, in Lambeth, at 2215 BST on Tuesday.

Metropolitan Police said a 29-year-old man was in custody after being arrested in south London on Wednesday.

Detectives said they knew who the victims were, although formal identification had not yet been made.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Thursday.
