An image of the car in which a man was shot dead by a motorcyclist at traffic lights in north London has been released by police.

Oktay Erbasli, 23, had stopped at the junction of Cambridge Road and The Roundway in Tottenham when a biker pulled up beside him and opened fire.

He was shot in the head in front of a five-year-old boy on Friday.

Two motorcyclists were involved in the shooting. A third biker arrested at the scene has been released without charge.

Mr Erbasli, from Tottenham, managed to leave his vehicle after being shot and staggered a short distance before returning to the vehicle and collapsing in the street.

He died in hospital about an hour after the shooting which took place at about 1600 BST.

The child and a woman in the car were unharmed.

Following the attack the gunman, riding a black Honda Blackbird motorcycle, rode off towards Wood Green, along with another motorcyclist on a blue, grey and white bike, possibly a Suzuki.

Det Ch Insp Andy Redwood said: "This was a busy rush hour junction and we are appealing to the public who may have been in the area at the time, or have any knowledge of these vehicles and can assist with information on those involved in this shooting, to contact the incident room immediately."
