Eighth charge over £40m gems raid

An eighth man has been charged in connection with an armed raid in which £40m of jewellery was taken.

David Joseph, 22, from Flaxman Road, Camberwell, south-east London, is charged with conspiring with others to rob Graff jewellers in central London.

Mr Joseph, who was arrested on Monday morning, will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Seven other men have been charged with conspiracy to rob over the raid at Graff in New Bond Street on 6 August.

Another man, 50, arrested on 10 August in connection with the robbery has since been bailed while inquiries continue.
