Night owls to be caught on camera

West End at night
London at night is always a magnet for photographers

Photographer David Bailey is looking for ordinary people to photograph for an exhibition about London's nightlife.

He will be taking pictures of the capital's night owls, from transport workers to burlesque dancers.

People wanting to take part are asked to submit details on why either they or someone they know should be part of the exhibition, called Alive At Night.

The pictures are due to go on show to the public at The Old Dairy in London's Bloomsbury on 27 and 28 August.

David Bailey captured most of the 1960s' most powerful icons in his photographs and went on to photograph the likes of Diana, Princess of Wales, Sir Michael Caine and Naomi Campbell.
