A youth accused of stabbing to death an 18-year-old in east London has been cleared of murder.

Charles Hendricks died after he was stabbed twice in the chest near Selbourne Road, Walthamstow, in August.

The youth, 17, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was found not guilty at the Old Bailey.

Crispin Aylett QC, for the prosecution, said the death "demonstrates the madness of young people walking the streets with a knife".
