Two teenagers killed in car crash

Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, died and two others were injured when their car crashed into a tree in east London.

Officers were called to Aldersbrook Road at 0219 BST on Sunday. The car, a Lexus, crashed near the junction with Herongate Road in Leytonstone.

The teenagers, who have yet to be identified, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 26, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Another passenger, aged 18, has non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe the car did not collide with any other vehicle.

No-one has been arrested over the incident.
