Drunk fridge man 'humiliated' Pc

A drunk man who humiliated a constable by touching her bottom has been ordered to pay £665 in fines and costs at London's Southwark Crown Court.

Fridge repair man Paul Pimlott, 27, saw the uniformed police officer patrolling the West End as he left a pub on a night out, and asked to shake her hand.

But when the officer shook his hand she felt him touching her buttock.

Pimlott, of Border Chase, Copthorne, Crawley, Sussex, admitted a count of common assault.

The court heard the officer was angry and humiliated by the assault and placed Pimlott under arrest.

He was forced to pay a £250 fine and told he would have to pay £150 compensation, contribute £250 towards court costs, and pay a £15 for a victim support charge.

Passing judgement, Judge Deborah Taylor said: "It is quite clear you were drunk and boorish and officers on duty simply do not need this sort of behaviour."
