Pc arrested during police raids

A Metropolitan Police officer has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods after a series of raids.

The 26-year-old female Pc is being held in police custody with six others following the raids on 12 addresses in south-east London.

Seized items include a stun gun, police radio and suspected controlled drugs.

It follows an investigation into a gang believed to be involved in the theft of high value cars and the supply of controlled drugs to prison inmates.

The Pc has been arrested in connection with conspiracy to handle stolen goods, conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office and conspiracy to corrupt.

All seven people remain in custody at a south London police station.
