Police want to trace the son of a 61-year-old woman who was murdered in a "frenzied attack" at her south-east London home.

Rose Jatto was found at her house in Camberwell on Sunday. A post mortem examination found she had suffered repeated stab wounds to the neck.

Detectives have said they want to speak to her son Wehinmi Metsagharun in connection with his mother's death.

They said he is thought to be homeless and has been sleeping rough in London.

Det Ch Insp Will O'Reilly said: "This was a particularly frenzied attack, with the victim being stabbed repeatedly.

"We urgently need to hear from anyone who may know anything about what happened on Sunday night and we particularly need to locate her son."

Police have said to call 999 if he is sighted or 020 8721 4906 if you have any information.
