An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting in south London.

Ricardo Cox, 20, from Croydon, south London, was killed on Mitcham Road in Croydon, on 26 November.

Police said Mr Cox was walking with another man when a car pulled up alongside and several shots were fired, hitting him twice in the upper body.

Detectives said they do not know why Mr Cox was targeted as they believe he had no links to gangs.

A post-mortem examination found he died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police believe the shots were fired from a dark-coloured car. The arrested man is being held at a south London police station.
