Drive-by shooting victim is named

A man murdered in a drive-by shooting in south London has been named.

Ricardo Cox, 20, from Croydon, south London, was shot dead on Mitcham Road in Croydon, on Wednesday evening.

Police said a a dark-coloured car pulled up alongside him and fired a number of shots, hitting Mr Cox twice in the upper body.

Officers said they do not know why Mr Cox was targeted as he had no links to gangs and "was a young man who wanted to do positive things with his life".
