Double stab murder probe begins

A double murder investigation has started after a young man discovered the bodies of his parents stabbed to death at their London home.

Police found Grigori Trakhtenbroit, 53, and Tatiana Konovalova, 47, in a flat in Croxteth House, Wandsworth Road, Lambeth, on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination found that the pair died from blood loss due to stab wounds.

Police have appealed for witnesses who may have been in the area on Wednesday.

Det Chief Insp Steve Lawrence, of the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command, is leading the investigation.

"If you heard or saw anything suspicious in the vicinity, please get in touch with us or call Crimestoppers anonymously," he said.

No-one has been arrested.
