Pedestrian hit and killed by car

A woman has been struck and killed by a car in north London.

The 80-year-old was hit by a blue BMW outside a Jaguar car dealership on Barnet High Street on Saturday afternoon.

She was taken to hospital with multiple injuries but was pronounced dead a few hours later.

The 20-year-old driver stopped at the scene and was not arrested. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place later.
