Court sees video of dance killing

A witness collapsed at the Old Bailey after seeing CCTV footage of her friend being shot in an alleged dance feud.

The witness, aged 17, was asked to view images from a club in Tottenham, north London, where Annaka Pinto was shot.

Prosecutors say Annaka, 17, was murdered on the dance floor after a falling-out between members of the all-girl troupe X-Squad last year.

The prosecution claims the gunman was Triston Walker, boyfriend of the sister of a group member. He denies murder.

It is alleged that Annaka was shot after a dispute between Lasticia Manning, one of the X-Squad girls, and other members of the group.

Mr Walker, 22, of Reed Road, Tottenham, was the boyfriend of Lasticia's sister, Simone Manning.

Another member of the troupe, also 17, was giving evidence at Mr Walker's trial on Friday.

She was shown CCTV from inside the Swan nightclub, showing what happened just before and after the shooting, including Annaka slumping to the ground.

Minutes after watching it, she collapsed sobbing and had to be taken out of court while jurors were also ushered away.

Ms Manning, 19, also of Reed Road, denies assisting an offender, as do Ricardo Lumsden, 32, of Sheldon Gardens, Edmonton, and Marlon Golding, 24, of Creighton Road, Tottenham.

The trial was adjourned until Monday.
