Man cleared of attack on two men

A man has been cleared of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) over an attack on two 19-year-old men near an east London Tube station.

One man suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and the other was found collapsed at East Ham Tube station.

Vijitharan Velupillai, 20, of St James Road, Stratford, was accused of two counts of unlawful wounding with intent to commit GBH on 25 May this year.

An Inner London Crown Court judge cleared him of the charges on Tuesday.
