Father charged over death of baby

A father has been charged with causing the death of his baby son by dangerous driving in a car crash in Chigwell Road, east London.

Julian Dhawan, aged 10 months, was in the back of an Audi with his mother when the vehicle was involved in a collision with a black taxi in May.

He died from head injuries, a post-mortem examination concluded.

Mohit Dhawan, 35, of Hoffman Square, Chart Street, north London, will appear in court on 14 November.

Mr Dhawan also faces a charge of driving dangerously.

He has been bailed to appear before Redbridge magistrates.
