Knife attack leaves two injured

Two men have suffered slash wounds after being attacked by a man near an east London police station.

The first victim sustained injuries to the back of his neck at Maryland BR Station at about 0700 GMT. He is recovering in hospital.

Another man suffered suffered wounds to his hands when he was threatened by the attacker in Maryland Road and grabbed the knife off him.

A man was later arrested and is being held at an east London police station.
