Four charged with girl's kidnap

Four teenage girls have appeared in court after a 16-year-old girl was assaulted in east London.

The teenager was forced down an alleyway and hit with a belt near Maryland railway station in Stratford on Sunday evening.

She has since left hospital. Four girls one aged 18, two aged 17 and a 15-year-old, appeared at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

The four have been charged with kidnap and causing grievous bodily harm.
