Man dead after nightclub shooting

A man has been shot dead inside a nightclub in south London.

The victim, believed to be 24 years old, was found with gunshot wounds at the SE1 club in Weston Street, Bermondsey, at 0540 BST on Sunday.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police have started a murder inquiry.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday. Officers from Operation Trident are investigating the incident.

No arrests have been made.
