A woman has been charged with a series of motoring offences after a baby was killed when a car mounted a pavement and hit his pushchair.

Katie Gutierruez-Perez is accused of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

The 39-year-old was arrested after the crash that killed 15-month-old Finlay Woods on Thursday afternoon.

Finlay was with his mother and grandmother in Cavendish Road, Chingford, when the crash happened.

Ms Gutierruez-Perez, of Selwyn Avenue in Waltham Forest, northeast London, is also accused of driving without insurance.

She is scheduled to appear at Redbridge Magistrates Court on Saturday.
