Teenager recovers after stabbing

A teenager is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in east London, police have said.

The 18-year-old was attacked in Bow Common Lane, Mile End, at about 1600 BST on Monday.

Police said he was taken to hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries, but his condition has now improved.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers have arrested four youths in connection with the incident.
