Stabbed teenager seriously hurt

A teenager is in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed in east London, police have confirmed.

The 18-year-old was attacked in Bow Common Lane, Mile End, at about 1600 BST on Monday.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he is being treated for a single stab wound.

Police officers arrested four youths in connection with the incident. They are all being held in police stations in east London.
