A man was arrested after a three-year-old boy was shot in the head with a pellet gun, it has emerged.
The child was injured in Hayes, west London, on Saturday. He was treated in hospital and released later that day.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and released on bail until October. "There was nothing to suggest this was deliberate," police said.
Last month 18-month-old Rashid Ullah was accidentally shot dead with an airgun, apparently by his sister.
Regarding the Hayes incident, a London Ambulance spokesman said: "We were called to Stormount Drive at 12.25pm to reports of a shooting.
"An infant male was taken to hospital with a head injury."
A police spokesman said the man was arrested "as is routine in cases where an injury has occurred to a child and the circumstances need to be properly investigated".
He must report to a west London police station on 4 October.
