Festival for under-19s grows up

London's Victoria Park is hosting an all-day music festival for under-19s that promises to be bigger than last year's inaugural event.

Organisers say the Underage festival in east London will host 7,500 young people, up from 5,000 in 2007.

Performers include The Foals, Dizzee Rascal and Glasvegas.

No alcohol is permitted at the event and Tower Hamlets council is working with the young organisers to ensure the rules are enforced.

"It's just one day when teenagers can get away from their parents and have fun and listen to music," said festival founder Sam Kilcoyne, 16.

The festival even offers an "adult creche" where teenagers can leave their parents while they enjoy the music.
