Man is stabbed to death at flat

A man has been stabbed to death in south London.

Police were called to a flat on Edgington Road, near Streatham Common, at 0345 BST on Sunday.

Crews from the London Ambulance Service treated the victim, thought to be aged in his 40s, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they know his name but are awaiting formal identification. No arrests have so far been made.
