Twelve charged over youth murder

Detectives have charged 12 people in connection with the murder of 16-year-old David Nowak.

David was stabbed to death in Stoke Newington, north-east London, on 15 December last year.

The 12 people charged are aged between 15 and 21 and are from the north or east London areas of London.

They have been remanded in custody and will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Thursday, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.

Four others have been released without charge and a 17-year-old has been bailed pending further inquiries.

The charged people are:

• Eric Sackey, 20, of Mayfield Close, Hackney, east London. Charged with murder, attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

• A 16-year-old male youth from Hackney. Charged with murder and violent disorder

• Dolovan Barzey, 18, of Evergreen Square, Hackney. Charged with murder, attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

• Castro Paris, 18, of Verney Gardens, Chadwell Heath, east London. Charged with murder, attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

• A 16-year-old male youth from Hackney. Charged with murder, attempted murder and violent disorder

• Courtney Bramble, 18, of Beehive Close, Hackney. Charged with murder, attempted murder and violent disorder

• A 17-year-old male youth from Hackney. Charged with murder, attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

• Marlon Cyrus, 19, of Farleigh Road, Stoke Newington, north-east London. Charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

• A 15-year-old male youth from Holloway, north London. Charged with murder and violent disorder

• Gavin Goupall, 21, of Collins Court, Forest Road, Hackney. Charged with murder and violent disorder

• A 16-year-old male youth from Islington, north London. Charged with murder and violent disorder

• A 16-year-old male youth from Enfield, north London. Charged with two counts of attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon
