Tetra Pak heir charged over drugs

The heir to the Tetra Pak empire has been charged with possession of drugs.

Hans Kristian Rausing, 45, whose Swedish father owns the £5.4bn drinks carton company, was charged on Sunday with possessing Class A drugs.

His wife, Eva Rausing, 44, was also charged with possessing Class A and Class C drugs.

Mr and Mrs Rausing, of Cadogan Place, Chelsea, remain on bail and will appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 29 July.

The couple were arrested in April after Mrs Rausing allegedly tried to smuggle drugs into the US embassy.

They were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs when they were allegedly caught with small amounts of crack cocaine and heroin.
