Man remanded over stabbing death

A man been remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man in east London.

Adnan Patel was found in Downsell Road, Leyton, last Thursday, suffering from a knife wound to the chest.

Police believe he was stabbed after a row with a group of men. He then drove his Ford Focus away from the scene and crashed into a parked car.

Akeel Shah, 23, appeared before Waltham Forest magistrates and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on 20 October.

Three other men, two aged 22 and one 37-year-old, who were also arrested over the death of Mr Patel have been released on bail until August.

Mr Patel, from Stratford, was one of four young men to die in separate attacks in one day in London.
