A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young actor who was stabbed to death.

Rob Knox, 18, was killed in a fight outside the Metro Bar in Sidcup, south-east London, in the early hours of Saturday.

Unemployed Karl Bishop, of Sidcup, appeared at Bexley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with murder and with wounding five other people.

He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 2 September.

Mr Bishop spoke only to confirm his name, age and address, and that he understood the charges, during the short hearing.

He will appear next at the Old Bailey.

Mr Knox had a small part in the new Harry Potter film.
