Two men have been arrested by officers investigating the killing of a boy who died after being beaten with a brick in north London.

Ofiyke Nmezu, 16, from Edmonton, died two weeks after being hit over the head after he was approached by three men in a car in Ponders End on 15 February.

The men, aged 20 and 21, were held on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and have been released on bail.

An 18-year-old is due to appear at the Old Bailey in June charged with murder.

Ofiyke, also known as Iyke, suffered a fractured skull following the attack.

He did not report the attack to the police or seek medical attention for two weeks.
