Five arrested over fatal stabbing

Five men have been arrested after a 25-year-old died when he was stabbed in north London.

Police were called after a fight was reported in Shepherds Hill, Highgate, on Thursday night.

They found the 25-year-old man with a stab wound. He died at the scene of the incident but he has not yet been formally identified.

All five men, aged between 27 and 37, are being questioned over the incident at various police stations.

Det Ch Insp Peter Lansdown said: "We are keen to trace anyone who may have seen a group of Eastern European males acting suspiciously in the Shepherds Hill area."

Three of the arrested men, aged 27, 29 and 35, are from London.

The other two aged 28 and 37, are from Nottingham and Hull respectively.
