Men deny security van robberies
Seven men have appeared in court accused of involvement in a string of security van robberies across the south of England.

One of them includes a foiled raid on a bank in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire in September where police shot dead two suspects, Kingston Crown Court heard.

The defendants, all from south London, all denied conspiracy to rob cash in transit.

A provisional trial date has been set for 18 August.

The defendants are: Leroy Hall, 31, from Streatham; Leon McKenzie, 28; Brian Henry, 32; Victor Iniodu, 33, from Tooting; Adrian Johnson, 27, from Streatham Hill; Leroy Wilkinson, 29, from Streatham; and Terrence Wallace, 26, from Raynes Park.

Mr McKenzie also denied two further charges of robbery and Mr Hall pleaded not guilty to one count of robbery.

Mr Johnson denied two additional counts of possessing a prohibited weapon.
