Support on offer to gay parents

Ms Green has signed up 16 families to the Rainbow Parents group

A woman has launched a support group for fellow gay and lesbian parents in east London.

Rosie Green set up Rainbow Parents in Tower Hamlets to offer advice on how to deal with homophobia or prejudice.

The mother-of-one said parents who had experienced this type of behaviour needed a safe space to discuss matters as well as support and advice.

The group will meet on the first Sunday of the month at the museum of childhood in Cambridge Heath Road, Bethnal Green.

Ms Green, who said there were no other similar groups in the area, has signed up 16 families so far.
