Taxi driver 'may have raped 35'
Black cab sign
In the latest attack the victim was picked up at London Bridge
A London taxi driver may have drugged and raped as many as 35 women over several years, police believe.

Officers were initially investigating five attacks in which victims were picked up in a black cab near Oxford Street, Kings Road or London Bridge.

But following appeals, a further 30 women have come forward.

Police have until Tuesday morning to continue questioning a 40-year-old man they arrested at a south-east London address on Friday.

Before attacking his passengers, the suspect offered them spiked glasses of champagne claiming he had won money.

The most recent attack is said to have taken place on 5 February after a 33-year-old woman was picked up near London Bridge Station.

Detectives have begun trawling through their records of sex crimes since 2005.
