A man has died after being found stabbed in an east London street.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called on Friday evening to deal with reports of a disturbance on Plaistow Road, Stratford.
They found a 27-year-old man - who has not yet been identified - with stab wounds to his head and the upper part of his body.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead at 0640 GMT on Sunday.
Acting Det Ch Insp Stewart Hill, of the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "This incident occurred in the evening when people will have been coming home from work as well as making their way out to socialise.
"I would appeal to anyone that was in the area and may have seen something to come forward and help us find the killer in this attack."
