Local residents say the area has been blighted by crime

A man killed during a knife attack at a flat in south-east London died from two wounds to the chest, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Faridon Alizada, 18, of Bexley, south-east London, was killed and two teenagers were wounded, in the attack in Erith early on Saturday.

Two men, aged 33 and 41, are being questioned by police.

One youth remains seriously ill in hospital, while the other was discharged after treatment.

The arrested men are being held at a south London police station.

'Low-life area'

Officers said the victims may have been involved in an "altercation" with people who left the flat after the attack.

The stabbings took place at Verona House on the Larner Road Estate.

On Saturday, local councillor David Hurt said the estate had a reputation for crime that was unjustified.

However, local residents said the block of flats was condemned and the area was known for being a "low-life area".

Mr Alizada is the second London teenager to die of stab wounds this year.

On New Year's Day, 17-year-old Henry Bolombi was chased by a gang and then stabbed in the chest in Edmonton, north London.

Last year 26 teenagers were killed in stabbings and shootings in London.
