The stabbing may be linked to a birthday party
A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in a mass brawl in a street in north London.

David Nowak was found in Farleigh Road in Stoke Newington on Saturday night after reports of a large disturbance. He died shortly after midnight.

Two other teenagers were hospitalised with stab wounds. A 15-year-old boy remains in a stable condition.

Murder detectives have arrested 14 people aged between 13 and 19, including one female.

Police said they are appealing to people at a birthday party which was held nearby to come forward.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they have yet to establish if the fight was connected to the party.

Det Ch Insp Matt Horne said: "A birthday party was being held in the community centre in Shacklewell Road, close to where the disturbance and fatal stabbing took place.

"I am appealing for anyone who attended the party or anyone who witnessed the disturbance in Farleigh Road to contact police."

David Nowak died in the Royal London Hospital from a single stab wound which punctured his liver and kidney.

His death brings the number of teenagers murdered in London this year to 25.
