£2.2m Lottery jackpot unclaimed
National Lottery ticket
Winning tickets date back to July
National Lottery players in London are being urged to check their tickets as a prize worth more than £2.2m remains unclaimed after three months.

Lotto organiser Camelot said the ticket worth £2,214,747 was bought for the Lotto draw in Ealing on 29 August and matched numbers 4, 6, 11, 17, 31, 41.

More than £2.6m in Lottery prize money has gone unclaimed in London in the past six months.

Winning players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.

Five numbers

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket in time the prize money, and the interest it has generated, goes to National Lottery good causes.

The spokesman for Camelot said: "Across the UK there is a total of £12,858,684.70 in unclaimed prizes at present, and Londoners seem to be among the most forgetful.

"It's amazing that at this time of year lottery players are not checking their tickets."

A ticket bought in Islington that matched five numbers plus the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on 21 July 2007 stands to earn its owner almost £100,000.

Meanwhile £250,000 in prize money is outstanding on a ticket bought for the Thunderball jackpot in Kensington and Chelsea on 14 November.
