Teenager jailed for kidnap attack

A young woman who instigated a group sex attack on a love rival has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.

Destiny Ekanga kidnapped the 23-year-old woman, who was beaten and forced to perform sex acts upon strangers before being raped in a flat.

Ekanga, 19, from Plaistow, east London, and Halima Ahmed, 21, from Ilford, Essex, were each found guilty of false imprisonment and five sexual offences.

They were jailed for six-and-a-half years each at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Mahad Hussein, 24, from Chadwell Heath, east London, was imprisoned for a total of six years and nine months for three counts of rape and two unrelated offences.

'Extraordinary case'

The court heard that Ekanga wanted revenge after discovering her boyfriend had slept with the woman following an argument.

Ekanga and Ahmed lured her into a car last July before subjecting her to a prolonged physical and sexual attack in a park, in Ekanga's home, on a footbridge and in a flat.

The woman fled the flat the following morning.

Judge William Kennedy said only substantial jail sentences were appropriate for this "extraordinary case".

They subjected the woman to "humiliation right-thinking youngsters would regard as unbelievable", he said.

Mr Kennedy said: "Despite her pleas to be released, despite her entreaties to be allowed home, you encouraged those young men, those strangers, to take her as a piece of meat."
